ROMAN EXCUTION METHODS
By: Fastkid
Following the Lex Porcia of 199 BC, Roman citizens couldn't be executed. They could be exiled. Non-citizens could still be executed,
Crucifiction was the most common method of execution.
Other methods of execution included being strangled or having throats cut
Noblemen were allowed to simple commit suicide either by their own sword, or by opening their wrists in a warm bath.
If you were executed in disgrace, you were thrown off a cliff in Rome called the Tarpeian Rock. (only in the early republic)
